Omega 2.0 - no fault codes, high consumption
« on: June 25, 2008, 10:40:20 »
Hi guys
I have a problem with my 2.0 Omega. I have asked so many “specialists”, checked almost everything on my own, and still consumption is about 15-16 in town (17-18 on LPG) and is going down to 10 (petrol) and 11 (LPG) on the run. I had Omega 2.2 and this one needed 12-13 in town and 7-8 on the run.
I think that there might be a problem with sensors, and you know most of it.
According to OpelScanner:
Lambda sensor is going from 35 to 4800 mV all the time
Throttle is 8% open when on idle.
MAF is 12-13 (idle) up to 315 (4500revs)

There are no fault codes, nothing suspicious. Engine is running fine. Compression is good. Exhaust is not leaking.
I was told that adaptation values or injection maps might be set wrong and only Tech-2 can fix it. I was also told that I have to reset my ECU as well when net sensor is installed. Well, when checking my car with OS, injectors are about 2.9-3.5 and when I checking  LPG ECU it shows that then on petrol, injectors (petrol) are 3.5-4.2. This is a big difference.
Thanks for any hints or advices
