The software did not recognize code P0120.
P0120: Throttle Position Sensor 1-2 Correlation

Yes, I noticed it, I look at it. Also, can you publish screen shot with live data?

The livedata did not open for some reason.
Do I have to wait longer or something.
Now I don't have that car anymore available.

What version was it?
Any screens on TC?
Title: ScanMyOpel users feedback

The first version.
The tc-screen opened but did not show anything.
What about if there was not tc:s
No screen about it.
Tomorrow more testing with new version.

Vectra -99 X20XEV.

The new software won't work.
It says "ID parsing failed".

If there are no error codes should the tc-screen stay blank?
Is it nice that there appears text "no error codes" or something.

- ScanMyOpel 1.0.6 running on Android 2.2
- Connected to 2004 Vauxhall Astra Z22SE with no problems using china Bluetooth clone ELM327 v1.4 (although when using ELM327 App it says its v1.5!).
- can only connect to the ECU as that's the only option. Presume this is because its the Lite version?
- showed ECU data with no problems
- no error codes and it said "no error codes logged"
- can't see any live data, just a blank screen
- also I think I had problems shutting it down, couldn't not get the buttons at the bottom to work on the phone (ie press them but nothing happens).

To shut down just press Back button.
Can you send me log files?

Also, sometimes livedata is not shown the very first time. If you repeat session, it should appear. Still not sure, why.

Artur
Got some more details - basically I don't see any live data even though another poster on here with the same car (Astra-G Z22SE) can see live data. I don't know if its because I think I have ELM327 v1.5
See attached log files.
I've got Android 2.3.6 running ScanmyOpel v1.0.6 on china clone ELM327 v1.5
ECU ID shows up ok
Trouble codes screen shows up ok too
Live Data never shows up, just a blank screen. The LEDs on the ELM327 are flashing - so there is something going on but I'm not seeing it.
Pressing the 'back' button is very sluggish, sometimes I don't think its even acknowledged my press.
Plus the ads at the bottom of the screen get in the way of the 'connect' button. In other words sometimes I click the Ad and not the connect button which is frustrating. But that may be because of my screen size/resolution.

Tried latest ScanMyOpel v1.0.8 on 2004 Astra-G Z22SE with ELM327 v1.5 using Andriod 2.3.6
Still functions the same as v1.0.6, ie ECU and Trouble Code screen shows up fine.
But Live Data screen is blank.

1. try to select tab with ID, then return on LiveData tab
2. Please send me logs, probably 1.5 is glitching.

Can you make also log from the same car with OpelScanner?

2. Please send me logs, probably 1.5 is glitching.

Can you make also log from the same car with OpelScanner?

1) done that, ScanMyOpel by default shows the Engine ID tab first. I then tapped on TC odes, all ok, then tapped on Live Data but still nothing. However I could not get the log file data off my phone. No matter what I did on my PC when connected up by USB it said the SD card was empty. I have had this working before on v1.0.7 so not sure why its not doing now. Is there a bug with v1.0.8?

2) I connected up OpelScannerCAN using latest 2.0.1.26 and it connected to 2004 Astra-G Z22SE with no problems and I could view all live data (ie throttle position, battery level etc). See log file attached.

I'm guessing the fault is with ELM327 v1.5
Need to know what other users of ScanMyOpel are using. you Can use free ELM327 app to read the version ID on the chip.

Artur, did some more testing.
Samsung Galaxy Table 2 7", (GT-P3110), Andriod 4.1.1
China clone ELM327 v1.5 bluetooth
2004 Astra-G Z22SE
ScanMyOpel v1.0.9

ECU ID: works and displays fine
TC: crashes the app. Sent crash details to Google Play (do you see these?)
LiveData: still a blank screen.

Tried the app a few times, but the failures are repeatable each time so they were not a one off.
Log files attached.

програмка супер . правда пробовал пока что lite версию. Машина opel zafira 2000 . android 4.0.4 scanmyopel version 1.0.9.

More testing using ScanMyOpel v1.0.11 on a 2004 Vauxhall Astra-G Z22SE using Android 4.1.2
Basically no difference since v1.0.6, ie I can see the ECU and Trouble Codes screen but LiveData is still blank. Can not access new features, ie can't connect to ABS ECU. Plus all ELM327 suppliers said it was v1.4 firmware but when you read the ID code it comes up v1.5!

Hi Eric,

The app shows info according to the data, coming from ELM327. Looks like, it is being corrupted from time to time.

As for missing data for X14XE - the ELM sends "NO DATA" response on the TC read request.

Any chances to retest with some other ELM interface?

PS. Your interface version is 1.3a.

Hi,

The problem is your interface... The data received by the software is inconsistent - the data block has different length every time, whilst it must be constant. Software can not handle this and exists.

I made a longer one-hour test with 1.5 Chinese version.
No problem.

just a difference with OBDLink MX, the speed to refrech data.

for example, the value [idle switch] changes instantly with the OBDLink MX, but puts 0.5 to 1second with Chinese v1.5

Torque pro report this difference speed:

It's not possible to do the same thing with the USB scannerCAN cable ?

Do you have an Idea how to convert the Volts into Temperature?

Hi,

I'm having the same problem.
identifies the engine correctly, but when switching to other options (or troubleCodes LiveData Parameters) the bluetooth device loses connection, it can not read data from the ECU (No response from ECU). I have the OBD2 MINI ver 1.5 China Clone.
I believe there is a slight delay and request connection failure, so it happens with these OBD's Clone.

Hi,

Mini OBD2 is not recommended, as it can have many issues with our application.
Please try to get one of these adapters, see the link:
http://www.opel-scanner.com/forum/index.php?topic=2574.0 (http://www.opel-scanner.com/forum/index.php?topic=2574.0)

They are OK, especially the first one - it is the best one I ever seen.

Just for case, can you send me your log files also?
What is the official diagnostic tool for Opels in Brasilia?

I would suggest that in a next version of our selves choose dashboards like the TORQUE known, it would allow a custom screen with key data chosen. For example, in the LITE version, we could have RPM and speedometer. In the full version the other options. It would be an evolution for ScanMyOpel.

OP-COM normally reads these ECUs

however, OP-COM is not Bluetooth. For this we need to have a laptop with USB connection to read data. Too complicated for a world uncomplicated.

Newer versions of Astras Brazilians work with any version of OBD2 SCAN and various types of tools. However, the vast majority are older market

working fine on Frontera B 2002 Y22DTH, with mini ELM bluetooth adapter, reading fault codes, erasing them, reading live data and ecu's info ... just no AT/ABS readings ... just showing connectig to ecu and than no response.

has anyone connected the 3 pins from the adapter together ? isn't there a risk of frying the car's ECU or something? can the "joining" of the pin's 3 7 and 12  be done in the car's OBD port instead of the adapter side ???

Thanks.

Hi,  ABS will not work on that car. Actually, this is Isuzu, not Opel, and ABS uses some other protocol from Isuzu.

You can connect all 3 lines - nothing is gonna happen.
Title: Re: ScanMyOpel users feedback
Post by: baba007 on February 16, 2014, 14:06:34
Right... thanks for the quick replay ... it is Isuzu (somehow, not shure about the car's ECU if it's GM or Isuzu) but on this car the ABS info can be read with Tech2 scan tool (i guess that scan tool that is quite expensive includes also the protocol you were talking about)  so I hoped there is a small chance I could trick it somehow to make it work on OpelScanner. It works on ISO 9141-2  protocol ... so maybe something on pin 15 - L line for ISO 9141 -2 ? Or is it the adapter itself can not interpret the data? Anyway ... great piece of program you have here! Thumbs up for the great work!

PS: at the next update could you please make the app work also in landscape mode? I am using it on a china tablet that I integrated in my car and it's a little annoying to use it in portrait mode. Since now I could not make it to work in landscape. 10x.
