Problem Opel Scanner

Hi. I`ve just bought Opel-Scanner for my Zafira A, 2005, 2.0L TDI, Y20DTH

Cable ID is A719,(USB cable)  and software is ver 1.0.1.71

Bought from www.obd2.no, Vidar Huke Larsen, Norway

I don`t get the software to work. Can`t connect to my car.

Help file from this forum is not supported via Windows. I`m running Win7, 32bit ver.

Installed drivers, choosed Auto Scanner Opel, Had to choose 2004-Zafira-engine managment-Y20DTH ,  but never got contact with the car.

In the software you can select USB or COM. Make sure, it is USB.
Also, when you plug in the interface, does your windows accept the interface properly?

Yes I have choosen USB in setup.

Windows tries to install own drivers, but I changed them to Opel Autoscanner. Used the ftdibus.inf, also tried ftdiport.inf file.

So, you need to make sure, your drivers are installed properly first.

Yes i`ve checked that my drivers are okay. Checked in windows system that unit is connected and drivers okay.
Device is working.


Could it be that my car needs Opel canbus scanner? I`ve heard that it is a change in the models in 2005.........

Zafira A has no CAN bus.
Please connect the interface to the car, try to get connected and send me log?
Logging can be turned on in Options menu.

I`ve tried manually select com port`s in setup. I came to com 18, and then I got contact with the car. USB didn`t work at all.

So now it okay.
