Sadly, the software will not resolve the issue...
You need to upgarde the interface.

I recently purchased the opelscanner software and interface, and would only be interested in an upgrade if it was very reasonably priced as i have just spent a lot of mney purchasing the outdated version.
though at this point in time the system is fine for me as i have a 98 vectra

Your interface has to be upgraded with the new one... Please try to sell the current one and wait for the new one.

С нетерпением ждем новый адаптер. Ведь даже обладание прибором Tech 2 c Кан-ди не решает всех проблем.

This is the software for OpelDiagnostics. The retail price on manufacturer's site is 750Euro + VAT.

That tool you found on ebay is a total different opel diagnostic tool and not original version.
I highly recommend you to use Artur's new CAN interface to connect car mentioned above

Если речь идет о старом варианте (без CAN), то там пока ничего не могу сказать. В версии же с CAN появится в одном из следующих обновлений.
